Dear Room 115 Families,

We have two days left of school. I cannot believe how quickly this school year has gone by. I have truly grown to love each and every one of these kids and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and change. Thank you for leaving your child in my care and trusting me with their learning and well being. I hope that I have fostered a love of books, a desire to problem solve and a better understanding of what it means to help one another and stand up for what is right. Thanks for a great year!

Students will bring home poetry notebooks, writing folders, completed student math journals, and homework folders Monday.  I recommend keeping some of these materials and using them throughout the summer as a review. Report Cards will be distributed on Tuesday, in addition to odds and ends from the classroom.

A few reminders:

  • Last day of school is Tuesday, 6/20.  It is also our traditional Ray School Picnic in the morning from 9:00 – 10:45. Please send a blanket or towel for your child to sit on, as well as outdoor games and snacks for sharing. Hotdogs and chips will be provided. Please send a lunch with your child if they prefer. In the afternoon students will be viewing a movie in the auditorium. Dismissal is at 3:45pm.
  • Please send your child with a backpack on Monday and Tuesday. Students will be bringing home many items from the classroom.

Have a wonderful summer!
